  1. Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle L. Parker is unveiling a drug treatment facility on Wednesday. The facility will open after just a year, housing 120 people as construction continues to the ultimate goal of housing 600. The speed of planning, construction, and opening is an impressive show of force for the Mayor. (Inquirer)

  2. As other passenger rail corridors move ahead in Pennsylvania, the Lehigh Valley continues to lag with new funding limitations, possibly preventing the further study of a new line. (Morning Call)

  3. Lawmakers elected Joanna McClinton, Speaker of the Pennsylvania House, yesterday despite a tied chamber due to a Democratic member's health issues. The chamber is deadlocked at 101-101 with the absence, and Pennsylvania could see another sparse and disjointed session. (AP)
