Writer's picture: Mark NicastreMark Nicastre

Every day (ok, most days), we'll try to highlight three interesting things in Pennsylvania that meet at the intersection of policy, politics, news, and government.

  1. Commissioners appoint Cartwright to railroad authority as progress on Scranton-to-NYC train project continues. (Scranton Times-Tribune)

  2. Gov. Josh Shapiro said Tuesday that he recently met with cannabis dispensary owners from Maryland, Ohio, New York and New Jersey. He wanted to ask them how many of their customers at stores near the Pennsylvania border were crossing state lines to buy their products. (Penn-Capital Star)

  3. FERC rejects petition to reconsider granting permit for hydroelectric project on Susquehanna River (WGAL)
