Writer's picture: Mark NicastreMark Nicastre

Every day (ok, most days), we'll try to highlight three interesting things in Pennsylvania that meet at the intersection of policy, politics, news, and government.

  1. 🎉CLIENT NEWS🎉 The Pennsylvania Literacy Coalition launched this week. The new advocacy campaign, a project of Teach Plus, will work to improve literacy rates in Pennsylvania, where only 34 percent of fourth graders read proficiently. (WESA, Pennsylvania Capital-Star, Chalkbeat)

  2. Sen. John Fetterman will meet with Trump at Mar-a-Lago, culminating months of working more openly with the GOP (Inquirer)

  3. A new study from the Niskanen Center found that local leaders should enact reforms that enable more people to live near (and therefore ride) SEPTA as they ask state leaders for new and additional funding streams. (Niskanen Center)
